DESCRIPTION:
This is a Three Year Contract for Maintenance & Support Services of 852 Propulsion Control Systems (PCS) Units on Orion VII Hybrid Buses for NYCT- Dept. of Buses and MTA Bus Company.

So does that mean all hybrids will be gone by 2017-18? It only seems like yesterday that the 6400s were taking over Queens Village!

Thats probably a good estimate for the early hyshits buses unless MTA is still on a 15 year replacement cycle.

The later model OGs and NG will be around longer than that. I think the NYCT hybrids can make it to 15 just like the RTS.

WMATA too! Diesel buses will be nearly extinct at WMATA soon enough.

I don't think they will last in years as long as the RTS. Aren't there still 1996 RTS arounds? 18 years

The first batch might be exiting service by then if all options on the new bus orders are taken.
