They probably will keep those in Manhattan. The 8600 RTSs at Quill stayed there there entire life's IIRC, shouldn't be too hard to keep these buses in Manhattan. |

Let me guess, those 75 hybrids will go to Manhattanville Depot. The depot in Manhanttan that's 100% hybrid-electric if I'm not mistakened. Plenty of stop and go heavy routes |

Probably due to the lawsuits about air quality around the Manhattan depots. They will likely have to replace the current hybrid fleet at those depots with some sort of clean technology fleet and the expense of converting to CNG is probably prohibitive at this time. |

IIRC, some of those 8600's were originally at Amsterdam, then transferred to what was originally Westside Depot, before the name change to Quill in 2000. MCH might have gotten some, as well. |

There many different scenarios...1. Option order on 138 CNG buses that MTA forgot to include. 2. MTA may extending the 2004 Orion VII CNGs life, that could last til 2019. (15 years) 3. 275 articulated may wipe out some of the CNG bus fleet. |
