Saturday 4/26, when Sharton and company marched up Lenox Ave, stopping traffic @ 125th Street, including the Citaro bus. This bus was on the M102 route that day, enjoy.:

Nice shots. I love the left side route number sign - would be useful on all buses out there - a full destination sign would be best!

Although the bus is different from the current American standard, it just looks so bland to me. Maybe it needs a nice scheme or something, but I find that the New Flyer D40LFR has more flair than this bus.

The back is misleading - is there a rear window or not?

Darn, it was on the M102 on 4/26 and I missed it. I was looking for it on 4/26, 4/27, 4/28, 4/29, and 4/30 and I couldn't find it. I did shoot over 140 other bus photos though.

It would look bland in the typical MTA scheme in my opinion (especially with the white back!). But in a good scheme, like, Pottstown Area Rapid Transit or BARTA or the DC Circulator, it would look pretty nice.

Examples below:

DC Circulator:

Pottstown Area Rapid Transit:

BARTA:

The Fairfax Connector scheme would look great as well. I can even see the Citaro in a Ride-On scheme (the diesel blue and white scheme, of course). Wouldn't that be a great fit for the 15! :)

There is a 'half' rear window I think - the engine stands vertically in a cubicle-type area on the other side. That used to be how Citaros were, anyway....

I hear that NABI 60LFWs are nothing but trash. The Chi-town people always complain about them. In fact, CTA is leasing some New Flyers from Seattle (a piggy-back order, if you will), so they won't have to use the NABIs so much. Of course, that means the nail in the coffin for the TMCs :( and the remaining 5300 series Flxes.

That would be nice, especially with Nova LFS articulateds. However, is that "law" still in place where buses running in NY had to have two piece windshields?

Or was that "law" a busfan tale?

Correction: It seems like the New Flyer hybrid artics will be mainly used in new BRT service that CTA is establishing.

For signs like these, you should use a slow shutter speed to capture the entire reading. I'd guess 1/125 or slower.
