Quick Question About Bus Operation Costs

I know the cost is often over $100 per hour, but I know that only a certain portion (maybe $30-$35, plus benefits) is actually going to the driver. Can anybody give a breakdown of the actual costs in terms of mantainance and things like that?

Your figure of $100/cph varies - that's more in line for transit and commuter operations where you either have low equipment utilization or low revenue recovery.

This figure includes not only the driver but also for a portion of maintenance and administrative expenses.

Who knows the way things are going watch for driverless buses in dedicated computer guided lanes. The unions are gonna love that.
