I don't recall the number, but there is 1 LFSA with a multicolor luminator. Maybe 1287? Someone here recently discussed the sign model in detail here not to long ago on the new XD40, they can cast some light on this. |

Suppose the MTA kept the blue lights, but a solid light, not flashing. That might work. They do that on all the buses in Toronto; no outcry up there.jrc |

Suppose the MTA kept the blue lights, but a solid light, not flashing. That might work. That was my suggestion too, why not have a steady light, not flashing. They do that on all the buses in Toronto; no outcry up there. jrc Maybe Toronto doesn't have idiots who complain at the drop of a hat, as long as the news media gives them exposure. :( Bill Newkirk |

I have not seen 1237 in person yet, but 7090 is equipped with what appears to be a Luminator Spectrum full color 24x200.Judging from pics of 1237 I saw on Google, I'd say it's equipped with the same. Though I'm curious about the text on the right side is all about. |

I would SO like to see multi-color (that is, different colors at the same time) destination signs on buses in NYC. It would look especially cool surrounded by the lights of Times Square.I also wish they would look into the option of having an important text (such as the neighborhood of the destination, or a significant via street) remain steady on the top line, while the bottom line scrolls. I think there's a Manhattan local bus route that has this? |

This is similar to destination signs in Paris. The color of the route number on the destination sign matches the color you'd see on the bus map, and on the bus stop signs, making it all the more recognizable. In fact, even the buses in Paris that still use roll signs have the matching color for the route number on the roll sign.I think this display you posted is ideal. Whether or not we need the text on the right (which indicates departure time or run number?) is debatable. |

No, I know there's definitely at least one NYCT or MTAB program that has it set up for the bottom to scroll while the top is steady. It may only be one program though. Maybe it's NICE? |

My only guess is the sign code. I once saw the sign yellow and when the destination changed at South Ferry the numbers disappeared. |
