Because of the march, SIR will be operating every 15 minutes between Old Town & St. George with several bus line terminating there or re routed to stop there while terminating elsewhere.

Check the MTA site for specifics.

Based on that detour guide, there will be no bus service north and east of the Staten Island Expressway and Clove Rd/Broadway.

Theoretically, the buses could still get pretty close to the ferry. Just end everything at Jersey Street & Richmond Terrace, and turnaround via Jersey-Richmond Terrace-Westervelt-Crescent. The buses that run along Bay Street can end in Stapleton and turn around by Tappen Park (or immediately by the Stapleton SIR station).

Of course, from a practical perspective, you don't want crowds of (pissed off) commuters clashing with the crowds of protesters.

With the S51 & S52, I think they probably would still be better off terminating by the Stapleton SIR station. With the S52 especially, there's almost no point in even running it.

Well, either way, it's not going to be fun.
