I didn't see them while I was up there passing by lastyear during a.m. rush. To answer your question. Yes they will be replaced by the Gilligs |

The Gilligs are slated to come in May.The Xceslors are to start running line 55/ 55F. Personally, I can't see it. I ride those lines, when they run. They pull that cut-back garbage and don't make it past Westgate TC except for am/pm rush. The least they could do is go to Westlake Park n Ride. And the buses are seldom crowded, from what I saw. The expresses are another story; and a bargain at the standard fare. (Of course, I use senior fare these days). If you depend on the buses , and are staying in the burbs, get familiar with the schedules and get ready for a curtailed day. When GCRTA ran circulators 'tween the outlying areas' transit centers, they ran often, and connected with buses that ran to other districts, the rapid and directly to downtown. You need a car now to go there, so it defeats the point of taking a bus. Otherwise, a nice system. jrc |

I went there during the summer of last year on my way to Toledo, OH from New York on Greyhound lines. During the hour break at the terminal, I walk along Superior Street towards Public Square to sightseeing some buses of Cleveland RTA, Akron Metro's MCIs and LakeTran commuter MCIs |

I was riding the Redline and sort of resigned myself to having a boring time, as I was just there in December. Then I ran into the Xcelsiors and everything fell into place afterwards.Had a great time with lots to do, including a 'hound trip to Columbus. jrc |

I didn't notice any Xcelsior artics running on the 55/55F on Friday afternoon; I'm presuming they were still running the Red Line shuttles at Windermere.I did spot a few Novas during the rush hour, which appears to be the only time they're running these days. Almost every other bus I saw, save for the 3000-series D60LFR artics were NABIs. |

If you time it right during the rush hours, you will also spot a PARTA (Portage Area RTA) Orion VII NG diesel heading to/from the Kent State/Portage County area and some SARTA (Stark Area RTA) Gilligs en route to Canton (I happened to spot a Canton-bound SARTA CNG Gillig on Friday). |
