Hey all. Found my way to my new home in Knoxville,TN. Wednesday will be busfanning as I'm off to interviews. Yesterday was in Roanoke and road Valley Metro. All buses are gillig phantoms either 01xx,04xx or 06xx. They are due gillig low floors soon. I'm surprised its one bus per route with no services past 8:45 pm Saturday and no Sunday service. Guess I'm used to ny 24/7.

Don't get caught in the sidewalk when they roll them up for the night.

This is not surprising, 8.45 is late for small operations. Orlando used to quit at 6 on most routes, but that was in 1982. Now it's almost a 24 hour operation like Las Vegas.

I had a chance to check out the fleet for Knoxvillea nuteshell Area Transit. The fleet looks likes this in a nutshell.

700s: Opus. Though im told they will be retired.
900s: Opus
4000s: Gillig LF 35 foot.
5000s: Gillig LF 40 foot.
5009-5011. Gillig LF hybrid.

They also have the 300s and 3000s Ford E350 used on routes where a bus isn't required.
