First reported on the Bus Lounge via Facebook.
It is not a recall for now.

New Flyer has issue a bulletin on this matter and its not just New Flyer's problem... Orion, NABI, Nova, Gillig, etc...

MTA has these types of seats on the New Flyer artics and Nova LFS 40' and artics.

The West Coast transit agencies are disabling the front row flip-up seats. Plus it's all seating manufactures.

Maybe add shoulder strap seat belts if there's no room to put a barrier between the wheelchair area and first row seating?

Wasn't this the standard seating arrangement on the New Looks and Mack buses for like 50 years? There never was a physical barrier in front of the first row of seats. So why is it now all of a sudden a problem that the seats have to be disabled when there are so few seats on these buses anyway? Why not just install seat belts on these seats? Is that too expensive? Sounds like pennies to me. It's easier to inconvenience passengers.
