I believe the last northbound stop is still at 149 St on Willets Point Blvd; after discharging all passengers, the empty bus continues up WPB for about 1/2 block, bears right onto 24 Rd, then turns left at the triangle (that seems to have been created just for the bus turn-around), then left onto WPB for the return trip, first stop again at 149 St. |

A visit to the site today shows that the last stop now is actually on 25 Av just past 149 St (25 Av is the straight-line extension of Willets Point Blvd beyond 149 St; WPB bears to the left), so the drivers then have to go to all the way to 150 St, turn left, then turn left again onto WPB to start the next run.The mystery is, why would the MTA post a guide-a-ride schedule at the last stop, complete with times? The schedule is custom-made for that location and says "25 Av & 149 St" in the upper-left corner. Also, attached to the bottom of the old-style bus-stop sign is a small "Mon-Fri" sign, but there should also be a "Drop Off Only" sign as well. It really looks like you could wait to take the bus from there. |

NYCT continues to insist in all published materials that the Q44's first stop in the Bronx is on East 180th Street, right near it's last stop. But in reality, it doesn't pick up until after it turns left onto Boston Road. |
