Posted by caine515 on Wed May 15 18:58:39 2013 Noticed this today while buy LGA depot. NOVABUS #8933 and #9248 have been FULLY repainted. Granted,they are parked in the back of the depot but they look really good. Are they expected back in service???M15SBS-#1245-NOVABUS Artic M60-#5970-NOVABUS Artic Q33-#4498-Orion NG Q49-#3725-Orion VII Hybrid Q18-#4036-Orion NG Q67-#3604-Orion VII Hybrid By the way Orion V CNG #9836,#9849,#9871,#9889,#9899 and #9918 were in the depot as well. |

Supposedly there is a bunch of 1996 model year RTS' which are structurally sound, IIRC about 125 have been identified internally by NYCT, worthy of another rebuild to keep them around a few more years. 9191 at LGA, is another recent one. This was mentioned some time ago on this board.I would expect many would be assigned to MTA bus, esp. LGA. |

The following RTSs from LGA have been repainted:8796 8933 8948 8972 9191 9248 9291 9307 All of these buses have seen service. I am sure there are other RTSs and Orion VIIs that are awaiting to be repainted as well. 8850 from JFK has been repainted as well. |
