But it's only on weekends.May allow for future SI - Brooklyn combo express routes, like a route to MetroTech in downtown Broklyn. The "X39" could run on Hylan, then through Bay Ridge to MetroTech via 3 Avenue. |

Delaying a Staten Island Express bus route enroute to Manhattan by stopping in Brooklyn first is not mucking up progress. It is making the X17 more unreliable. |

Pickup people up right off the highway is NOT going to mess the schedule up. Have you seen the stop location proposed? |

Yes I have seen the stop and I will add Staten Island Express buses are already unreliable as is. What happens when the X17 extension happens? The X17 stop is not the best way to serve that community. |

It will only be on weekends when the X28 does not run. Persoally, I'd like to see the X17 extended on its western end to Bricktown Mall on weekends. |

Didn't they mention something about that in the service investments? Something like extending it down to the X22 terminal at Hylan & Page. |

If there isn't the X17 winds up no longer stopping in Brooklyn. People may complain but the comment will be "well we HAD service and you didn't ride it"B68-#468-New Flyer C40LF |

Its political, NYCT has to justify bringing back the X28 weekend service and that is why the X17 is made to stop there. The X17 is set up to not work too well. Just like how the X27B/X28B was set up in order to help justify the restoration of the X37 and X38. |

Or maybe they could use the Belt Parkway to get between say, the last stop (Shore Road & 101st Street or whatever it is) and somewhere on Cropsey, like say, Bay 8th Street. |

It's a Target, Home Depot, Petco, Christmas Tree Shops and Bed Bath and Beyond. Five of those stores have the potential to draw customers on transit, and all five have locations elsewhere that are much closer to home. Workers aren't going to take those buses to jobs there because the cost of the round trip is nearly two hours of labor. |

"it will add about 10 minutes to the X17"Why would taking the service road for one exit and picking up a few passengers add that much time? |
