Scrap as far as NJT is concerned as they retired them.

But the (salvage) company that bought them can sell them if they want, or if no takers they actually scrap them.

But they make $$$$ if someone would buy one or tow or all of them!

Private Transportation or Monroe Bus, perhaps? (For when their ex-Fairfax Connector units bite the dust.)

No thanks, not after those buses have been subjected to 12-15 years of operation on the horribly maintained streets of New Jersey.

Even if the streets aren't too bad, any bus which has operated its entire service life in the Northeast (or upper Midwest) has been subjected to a decade or more of road salt. Better to buy buses from down south or west, preferably from a system with good maintenance practices.

Given that these are 1999 Novas, they could be imported legally into Canada as well, especially for those smaller agencies that buy secondhand buses.

I was going to say something about the dream I had wherein the golden streets of heaven through forests of redwood were plied by Gillig Phantoms, also gold...

But that would start a never-ending flame war...

We'll just say that Gilligs are Halal, and leave it at that.

If they aren't charging crazy prices, I know a few churches that could use a bus or two.

Most churches can usually get away with using an old school bus. Part of the attraction is that a school bus is typically easier to maintain for volunteer mechanics who are more likely to have experience working on trucks - transit buses have become much more specialized by comparison.
