The Syracuse stop is/was a stop along the run between Buffalo and Philadelphia if I'm not mistaken. I believe the Buffalo service will still operate, but it won't stop in Syracuse. |

They're not shutting down the entirely line, and the RTC is right there off the highway. Why not continue stopping in Syracuse? |

I've been checking schedules on the Megabus site and Syracuse is not being eliminated from all schedules. They're dropping it from Philly. From New York, it currently is being made on Buffalo schedules, but later in September Syracuse will be a stop only on schedules that terminate in Rochester.Perhaps mid September is when the trim back service, since summer travel might be declining. They also could be fine tuning their service to actual demand. At first, I thought people here were saying that Megabus was totally eliminating Syracuse as a destination. When I checked around, I came up with that horrible double-decker crash that happened when a Megabus driver got on the wrong road trying to get to the Syracuse station. That happened almost 1 year ago. |

It looks like Rochester and Syracuse will have two rounds trips to NYC per day - southbound arriving in the city at 1:45 and 11:15 p.m., and northbound departures at 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. It does look like these will be new Rochester-Syracuse-New York schedules that are separate from the Buffalo/Toronto runs. |

I understand that it's only Philly, that's what the thread says. I just don't really understand why since it's right there off the highway. Also, just because summer travel is declining doesn't mean there's going to be a void in passengers. Syracuse is a huge college town, and this is the time the college students start returning. |
