The pic of 2087 is the only Orion to to wear the original stripes thru out it's career in Albany. Thats the 1st generation paint job. Never ot rehabbed. The 2nd generation paint jobs had the belt moved to the roof and the 3rd generation were painted completely blue with a red and gold swatch in the rear from the roof to the bottom! It was and is the worst paint job yet. I really like the 1st generation paint job the best! |

Having the back door at the very back wasn't a great idea. When you get off you trip over the feet of the person sitting in the back seat and when the driver kneels the bus the back step gets higher because it is behind the rear axle. But no one in Albany uses the back door anyway. |

I was told by someone that PVTA only has a handful of RTS' left in the Springfield garage(this was late May/early June), supposedly only used for school trippers. This person also told me there may be a few left at PVTA's UMass Amherst garage as a contingency fleet.Mark |
