What's with the NICE bus OrionVII seating?

When I did a trip to Roosevelt Field over a week ago, I got one of thos OrionVII NGs with the curved sitting. I had to stand for a bit and couldn't take the entire hour ride seating down. I got 1750 going to RF on the N22A and 1737 on the N22 going back to Jamaica. Whoever thought the curved bumpy seats were a good idea needs a kick in the ass.

Coming home on an empty 4126 (after 10:00PM) on the Q54 was much more confortable. Why is the seating so different on NYCT NGs compared to NICE Bus NGs?

7/6/12
Q54- OrionVII NG Hybrid #3975
N22A- OrionVII NG CNG #1759
N22- OrionVII NG CNG #1737
Q54- OrionVII NG Hybrid #4126

When the 1700's were new, I rode one from Mineola to Jamaica. I sat in a forward-facing seat on the right, midway to the center door. Each time the driver braked, I went sliding into the seat in front of me!

They should take some of the seats from the Orion V CNGs they are scrapping and put them in the 1700s!

That would cost Veolia money in labor.

The seats are thinner and give you an extra inch or so of leg room.

True, they barely have money to keep the buses running as it is.
