Passengers escape NJ Transit (MCI #7475) bus fire in Old Bridge
Posted by Gold_12TH on Thu Jun 28 20:10:35 2012 edf40wrjww2msgDetailB:detailStr fiogf49gjkf0d A fire on a New Jersey Transit bus forced 28 passengers to escape onto Route 9 in Old Bridge Thursday morning. Fire broke out in the rear of the bus, around the tire, as it traveled north just after 6 a.m. The driver noticed flames from the back of the bus and pulled over near Schulmeister Road. All 28 passengers all got off the bus without injury. They were placed on another bus. The bus, on Route 132, was headed from Lakewood to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. ---http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local/new_jersey&id=8717698

The ACs are working extra hard you know couple with the engine/trannny combo in this heat. I hope they put the effort of checking buses this time of year.

They do a very good job.

Howell Depot buses have been going down over the last few weeks. Even there newest MCI the 7XXX are given problem. I was on one that its Trany went out on the TP. I saw a CNG being towed this week, as well I missing a bus last week for the 10pm 139 out of the Port.
