I'm curious how this program's costs and fees compare with the cost of the transit agency just buying the camera equipment themselves. Those monthly fees for a fleet of 350 buses are going to run from $168,000 to $252,000 per year. |

Interesting how there will only be one camera up front, and one aimed at the driver. I wonder why they aren't interested in the typical bus camera system, where there are cameras aimed at the interior of the bus and cameras on the outside that would give more information on what causes a crash, rather than just the front camera. |

The cameras continuously record, but only save video of the moments immediately before such incidents.NICE Bus chief executive Michael Setzer said the cameras will not be used for surveillance of drivers and passengers.
