Posted by Mr. D - Type on Wed May 9 08:45:20 2012 It appears as if Capital Cruiser has added an Orion V to his collection. Yesterday, I spotted said vehicle, which sports the number 7869 and has an Orange [Balios ?] sign. Wonder what it's lineage is and what happened to the RTS he gad ? |

As for their RTS, it may be done.You mean Yankee Trails on the Capital area shuttle routes (which also had used MC-9s), right? |

No, not Yankee Trails, I know their last RTS [# 106] was retired some time ago. The RTS, I was referring to in this case belonged / belongs to Capital Cruiser, I would see it from time to time around the area.This was the first time I have seen this Orion V. |

It's number 7869 and it's a 1999 model. The RTS has been sold to a limo company in Boston who drove it out to California to have it converted into a limo bus. The signs in the Orion are Luminators and have been reproramed to what we wanted. Also, the bus has been restriped to Vivid Blue overlayed over the red and gold of Fairfax. THe bus will be on display when the group from the NY Area come up here on June 9th. We also renamed the bus to Metro Bus Connector-a Division of Capital Cruiser LLC. |
