Customer requests my ass.

I was told today by some NICE friends of mine that the "X" had lots of room and the locals were overlaoded due to lots of riders at Meacham Ave. Some locals couldn't even stop there.

And last week was a light week due to kids outta school and mommies and daddies on vacation. Regular week coming up, which will be the real test to see how the ridershp patterns are between the 2.

I've also been hearing that the locals were overloaded. At the Hempstead Bus terminal everyone lines up for the local as if the express doesn't exist.

It was the same way with the N22L, when it first came out they were empty and the regular 22's were packed, now the 22L's get more ppl.

Should have left the N2 (or N3) running to Jamaica to take up the slack.
Knew that would happen.

You think it was because riders weren't sure how the Limited ran?

The N22L still makes most stops, but takes a "short cut". It follows the N22A routing, but turns on to Westbury Ave directly from Glen Cove Road.

The N22X runs non-stop between Roosevelt Field and 179th street. Eastbound in the morning, Westbound in the evening.

Do you think it would be faster to send the n22X via Glen Cove Rd->LIE->Clearview->Hillisde Av?

Absolutely not - you'd add about 5-6 miles per trip that route by going north (Glen Cove Road) and then later southbound (Clearview), plus have to deal with generally severely heavy stop-ad-go rush-hour traffic on the LIE. Then, on the Clearview, the exit to Hillside Avenue is always jammed at rush hour, sometimes completely backed up for 1/2-1 mile (and most other hours also). Not a sound idea.

Maybe the idea of the n6x can be canned altogether on the Nassau side, with the n6 Limited reinstated with all of its former Nassau County stops, minus the Belmont Park stop. REASON: Little turnover.

How little of a turn over is there at that stop? Buses Always stop there, unless they're flagging people.
