Braking is done by the operator. If the brakes are sharp then the operator has to make his adjustment to how much pressure is applied to the pedal to allow for better stopping of the bus. |

The retarder hesistates before it kicks in. The takeoff is horrid. The transmission is very jerky. The steering wheel doesn't tilt down enough for short operators or operators who sit low. I agree, the bus would be AMAZING if it had the Allison Tranny. |

The only thing I don't like about these buses is the seating setup sucks for tall people, I wish the seats was like the late model OG & NG hybrids, with the U shaped seating. Tall people can only fit in the last row or first forward facing seats in the front of the bus. |

Haven't ridden in one of this newest set of Orions, or even been inside one, but from the outside, the windows look like a step backward in design from the windows on the last set of new gens. Too bad. The windows on the earlier new gens are better looking. |

But most people don't bother to go to the back to stand leaving unused space and people crowding towards the front section.imo, The seating on the OG CNGs were very good, 2x2 rear seating and a partial u shape seating. Let ppl get more seats in the back and free up some space at the front. |

I do agree with you about the ZF EcoLife transmission, it makes the ride jerky as hell, just like the Novas 8015-8089. Would be good to give them Allison transmissions, otherwise I don't mind the Third Gens...blows the Next Gen HEV's out the dust any day. |

The rear seating is the standard seating on the O7 NG/3G model. NICE's 1800s also have the standard seating pattern. That is why the O7 3Gs have 38 seats as opposed to only 34 for the XD40s and 33 for the LFSs and C40LFs. |
