I would've thought that was an add-on to the 4000-series Orion order (forget the exact number offhand), which was the same order where GBL got what is now/was the 5900-series Orions for MTA Bus. |

Out of those Gilligs, the only one I've see in service recently is #508, but can someone tell me what happened to the Gillig Advantages? According to BusTalk, there were only 2 advantages; 517 and 518 (both ex-PalmTran), both were assigned for Williamusburg Trolley (as of September 2010). No recent update is there (Last one was made at June 2011). |

Also note that the "operated by" markings say Chesed v'Emes and not Private Transportation. |

Also says Bronx, NYI never knew that they had a different paint scheme for the Williamsburg Trolley, I thought the buses used for the Trolley were same as the B110 because the photos I saw of the Gillig Advantages that were said to be used on the Trolley had the same scheme as the buses used on the B110. |

I recall, many years ago, Jim Durney & I went photographing PICS & at that time he had purchased a few Blitzes from the TA & when he renumbered them, he put the same number on 2 buses and actually ran them both. On that day, they were back to back. Jim & I stood there in disbelief. The only difference was that one of them had a soft seats & was an ex-express bus. DOT caught up with him on that forced him to renumber one of them. Don't recall the particular number in question but for some reason the number 508 is coming to mind. |
