Probably 1 train shuttle needs a lot of NYCT/MaBSTOA fleet.
(Shttle bus operates 4 sections+extra buses for Baker Field-207th Street shuttle on Saturday.)
And also, R shuttle will use some Brooklyn fleet...

Uh, what buses will even BE available to do the work if it were NYCT doing it? Brooklyn Division is already being asked to do at least two shuttles (Q train and #1 train). Queens Division last time also covered the Q train shuttle, and they may have another one too.

There just aren't enough buses.

But here is what is being bustituted in the way of MTA services today.

Keep in mind the MTA fleet is about 5,990 buses, and regular service must still be met.

1 - SF to Chambers, 96 to 168, 168 to 191, 207 (A) to 242
6 - Parkchester/St. Lawrence to Pelham Bay Park
G - Bedford/Nostrand to Queensbridge
M - Myrtle Avenue/Broadway to Middle Village
Q - Prospect Park to Kings Highway local, Prospect Park via Brooklyn College to Kings Highway and local to Coney Island
PJ - Harriman to Port Jervis (express buses to/from each station plus local buses)
DAN - South Norwalk to Danbury

For the last one, it's unclear who exactly is covering that piece; it could be MTA Bus, DATTCO, Peter Pan, CT Transit Hartford, or someone else.

They are looking for a lot more help on the Q shuttle. I guess the guys from Queens are afraid to work in Brooklyn.
