Ulmer Park sighting 8/25/10 |

Posted by caine515 on Wed Aug 25 16:44:28 2010 The following is the list of out of service buses i saw today at Ulmer Park. I was surprised to see so many not working:NOVABUS:8961,9189,9385,9416,5094,5096. MCI: 2125. Also, NOVABUS #9099 was in the back with the back burned up. Don't see this one comning back anytime soon. Here is the assorted list of Ulmer Park buses i did see: 5095,5105,5117,5122,8884,8910,9034,9087,9092,9098,9100,9177,9183, 9386,9400,9419,9420,9424,9428. Im hoping they get new buses soon. By the way,they have the new B1,B3 and B6 timetables there. |

Seven buses out of an fleet of 200+ buses OOS, thats pretty good! Every depot has some buses that are "not working". Some people are probaly gonna think that UP has bad maintence because seven buses are OOS and one cought on fire.. which is not the case. For an dumping ground depot its buses are pretty good! |

I doubt a three bus manufacturers produce 90 buses each. That guy over at NYCTF might be getting some weird info even that site admin is not always under control with false rumors putting up. It is still too early and MTA has not even awarded yet.The Orion demo is just a demo to showoff MTA for future orders if MTA continue to interest in their shitty product. |

Nobody HAS or EVER WILL have a COMPLETE FLEET of NEW buses.Heck, LGA just received a hand me down buses: One from West Farms: 8889 and one from MJQ: 8987. Am I complaining? NO! If they show up, I'll ride them. And I already did ride both of them. I've had enough with you bashing Fresh Pond Depot just because they have older buses. Fresh Pond became garbage ever since Grand Ave opened, and no the Brooklyn Division is horribly disproportioned compared to other boroughs as far average age goes. There's no reason for buses to be sent here so late in their life. They deserve to go to Eastchester.Oh and FR,JFK, MJQ, MV, and GH have very new fleets. The day the new order comes to balance things out, I'll stop the bashing. |
