The 1st picture is Triboro Orion V CNG #3008 on the Q23. It was really taken on Thursday Night at 6:48 PM. All other pictures where taken doing the day on Friday.

MTA Bus MCI D4505 Classic #3226 on the BXM10. This is the highest MCI D4505 Classic I have seen so far. I was surprise to see a 32XX on a Eastchester route.

MTA Bus TMC RTS CNG #690 on the BQM1. The signs where working on this bus. I happin to get that BQM1 paper sign mixed up with those ATU signs they had up!

MTA Bus MCI D4505 Classic #3175 on the BM1. I have notice that the 317X's are now in Spring Creek. The other 317X that I saw on a spring creek route was 3179 on the BM1(Nothing was showing on the signs and 3179 was the 1st MTA Bus that I got from Eastchester and also was the 1st time on a D4505 Classic).

MTA Bus TMC RTS #9779 on the B103.

And last but not least. JBL GM RTS #583 NIS. This bus caught me by surprise as this was going down Sunrise Highway heading east and it went past Green Acres Mall(It was sitting on a sidewalk near a Dunkin Doughnuts when I went there several minutes after the shot was taken and then just as about to turn off of Sunrise Highway and go into Green Acres, 583 blows by like a rocket down Sunrise Highway)the signs where set to No Passengers on the front and Express Bus on the side sign.

Heh. My father was also in Manhattan on Friday, and also reported seeing 3226 on the BxM10.

PBL/MTA Bus RTS MirrorsRe: A few post strike photos

Look at the pic from the thread prior - Why does 9779 have a weird passenger side mirror different from all RTSs I have seen? I have only seen this type of mirror on some Classics.

That RTS used to belong to Queens Surface (now MTA Bus College Point).

When they ordered their TMCs, they had the mirrors placed on the passenger side door up front. Why they did this, I don't know.

And it looks like they uploaded the existing Command sign program onto 9779, but I would imagine the signs will eventually be reprogrammed, so their readings match the ones found on the new D4500s/D4505CLs.

Comming to notice that all the Ex QSC RTS's have those mirrors like what 9779 have. Look at the link below and there's plenty of pics of those RTS's with those mirrors

What time did you take that 122 pic? I was in that area at or around 8am-tried to get a pic or 2 but was unable to get any due to cars being in the way. Also get a good look at he front bumper of 122-I think it hangs off of the bus a bit too much. Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

Don't all the PBL beese have a program that has all of each other's routes (except Liberty Lines)? I've seen a Command bus signed as a Q113 (Jamaica), a Triboro bus signed as a BQ10 (Command), and a QSC bus signed as "New York Bus Sevice".

Most of those TMC's had the Command [and other] destination sign programs already.

Yes...though under MTA Bus, each bus only has the destinations for routes for its respective depot...like you won't find readings for the Q25 on a D4500 out of Yonkers.

But before the takeover, yes, each PBL bus had the codes for all the other companies' routes.

That has changed, however, where all signs for MTA Bus and NYCTA/MaBSTOA are in every bus, unless it has not yet received the re-program.

Many of the NYCTA/MaBSTOA New Looks also had that type of mirror at one time.

I was told that for the College Point buses, they only have the College Point routes in them. If they were to send a bus elsewhere, they would have to reprogram the signs for that depot's respective routes.
