BP and FR should've got NGs. Either that or get most Bee-Line orion so those lousy RTSs can be killed.JFK and LGA are spoiled now. Their fleet in newer than most NYCT depots! |

BP RTSs are not lousy... they have 1990 TMCs that would easily out run a lot of these 99 Novas out there. Most of the 5100s in FLA cannot hold a candle to an BP 1990 TMC...Some goes for FR, 8615 and 1190 run great.... |

It would make sense for BPK to get some of the ex- Bee Line Orions . They now have Orions 244 & 424, so the drivers are broken in on the Orions, because they never had any. |

The rear doors are operated differently between the ex-Bee-Line units and ex-New York City Bus units so Baisley Park operators would still have to train on an ex-Bee-Line unit before they go in service there. |

Bee Line is not a perfect agency, but Liberty Lines puts on a show operating those buses. B-L's main flaw is that they don't have the money to run everything they want, but you don't get the impression that they aren't trying. |

I've had nice rides on buses with governors on them. Mostly out of the Queens depots though, QV, LGA and CS to be exact. Crazy thing is, all of my memorble RTS/Orion V rides in QNS happend in the Rocaway flats (On the Q53 and A shuttle bus G.Os) lol. |

Before the takeover and before the Q53 was neutered to the line it is now, you could get great runs on the Q53. On the flip side the Q35 is pretty good now. |

The rear door operation is another thing in common with Suffolk Transit. All ST Orion V's are driver operated rear door. If these went to Suffolk they wouldn't have to be trained. |

It's pretty funny that 14 year old buses have that kind of effect on you. Hey Bee-Line, are you listening? If anyone so much as says "Bee-Line" and "MTA Takeover" in the same sentence, ask them to leave the room. |
