You're only spiting yourself, certainly not NYCT.Care to elaborate. The MTA has been screwing Avenue C for years. That's why they keep on trying to cut service on the 21. The TA may want to eliminate it but B/O's enjoy operating the M21. |

What do you expect, the TA would rather put vintage buses on routes where the riders are spoiled. Take the M14 and 14th Street for example. Those riders don't deserve anything. The M21 is one of the few routes that takes you to SoHo (a tourist attraction). Either way, not running vintage bus is like telling M21 riders "Fuck You." |

Well, I can't speak for the MTA and I would guess the only thing you can do is write them a letter about why they should run the vintage bus on the M21.And personally I would think the best routes [obviously 'tourist lines'] would be the M42 and M34 *imo. |

I cant say I disagree at all with you but look at the bright side; it shows our throw-away society that something old doesn't have to be put out to pasture simply for being old. My daily driver is 31 years old itself and I have a 38 year old car that runs but I dont have on the road to save on insurance over the winter. |

You would need to be a true idiot if you could not sit in the drivers seat of any bus and not be able to drive it. Todays bus drivers are mostly lazy and they just dont want to do any extra work. If your too dim witted to drive a fishbowl, then where does your brain start working to drive an old look?Lets compare.... they are all about 40 foot long, 102 inches wide. They are basically all shaped the same, they all drive with an accelerator and a brake and a steering wheel. I feel as an operator that if a driver said he could not drive something because it doesnt have the immenities of a 2009 Nabi or Gillig then that driver needs to be fired. In this day of not alot of work and people clamouring for money I would think that most bus drivers would be on their best behaviour. |
