Buses 2969 and 9098 will be going to MJQ Depot today. They are putting decals on 3100, and will be at MJQ on Tuesday. The Mack
Bus,(6259) is not ready yet, but should be at MJQ some time next

And for you guys that want to take pictures of these buses, I
suggest that you stand on 42nd Street west of 8th Avenue, or
east of 3rd Avenue. Anything in between that strip, you will
not get a good shot of the buses.

Indeed. It's just tough to get information on which routes they are running on, especially with last year's program where they were on a number of different routes with only 2 buses out at a time. Knowing where they would be during what times on the 23rd is fantastic...if I didn't have to work (out of the area at that!).

I do hope to make it up there this year, though!

It has been posted here, true or not, that they will only be running on the M42. And even if that is the plan, the plan could of course change. But at this point in time it looks like it will be a lot easier to find the buses along the route, if that's how you want to find them.

And anyway I have been giving the crew at ENY information so
that they get the vintage fleet back to their original look.
When I call ENY, they tell me what is going on with the buses,
and what steps or being made to have the buses ready, and when
and where the buses will be operating for the holiday season.

The original plan was to have 1059 as the back up for the 4
buses that will be running for the holiday season. However
the plan was nixed, and no new look buses will out this year
for the holiday season. Maybe next year, they will put more
buses on the street. The main problem is that there is not
enough experience bus operators around that can drive one of
these old battleships. Most of the bus operators today never
drove a bus without power steering.
