Posted by Houston METRO Fan on Thu Jul 23 15:13:58 2009 Hey, all.Here's several Houston METRO photos that I wanted to share with ya.  Update(s) about this type of coach: Only five (5) have yet to enter service and after that, ALL 102 of our MCI hybrids will be in. F.Y.I., METRO has ordered 20 more of this coach. No word on when they'll come in, the fleet numbers, nor who may get them.   The original order of 56 of these O7 NG hybrids are in. Now, we must wait for the "option" order of 40 more to make 96 that METRO ordered total. F.Y.I., METRO has ordered 80 more of this bus. No word on when they'll come in, the fleet numbers, nor who may get them.   Ahhhh---good ol' 4700. When I saw this coach, I just had to take some pics of it before it took off on its run. Too bad I didn't ride it nor pull a YouTube routine of it taking off. DANG! Anyhoo, all 101 of our Vikings are still here---even though a number of them are being moved around. When that is finished, only two of the six bus operating facilities (BOFs) will have the Vikings. Enjoy! |

Wait---let me rephrase, Trev.The remaining 101 of our Vikings (104 were originally ordered) are still here---even though a number of them are being moved around. When that is finished, only two of the six bus operating facilities (BOFs) will have the Vikings. Actually, it looks like METRO was getting 107 but three were given to NYCT (METRO 4804-4806=>NYCT 996-998) so according to the latest fleet listing I have obtained, we originally had 104 but we now have 101 remaining. Apologies for any confusions I may have caused. |
