Houston has a very underrated fleet in terms of diversity (Neoplan artics, New Flyer low floors and cruisers, MCI's, and now Orion VII NGs). Are there plans to purchase replacement artics by Houston METRO to eventually replace those Neos? |

Unfortunately, I was told that we're NOT---repeat---NOT getting anymore artics for the future. The only alternative that I think METRO may have to go for is double-decker buses. |

Thanks and *lol* about the METROLift vehicles.BTW, those are NOT operated by METRO but rather operated by First Transit. They also operate any bus you see with an "N" on it. |

It's amazing the difference between Houston Metro and DART here in Dallas. Nothing but ugly Nova's and NABI's. Next it will be all Gillig's to replace the Nova's. Nice and square here in Big D. |

Speaking of Gillig, one of Delaware's Dart First State Gilling BRT hybrids paid a visit to Houston METRO but I'm not sure as to whether METRO will go after Gillig or stick with purchasing Orions. |

Nice photos!Haven't been to Houston in almost 7 years. Speaking of the Orion NGs, have they replaced the NABI 416's? Last time when I was in Houston, I have seen the NABIs 416s running the streets of Houston. |

Thanks!I don't recall what replaced the 416 buses from Ikarus (the name for those buses at the time) but currently, the Orion NGs are supposed to replace the New Flyer D30LF buses we have. METRO has less than 70 D30LFs left with more slated for retirement. For your record, ALL of the Neoplan AN345/3 coaches have been retired and are replaced by the MCI D4500CTH coaches (5098 is one of those coaches). |
