Behind Flex 3790 in pix 5 I see a fishbowl. I remember riding on them. They had permanently sealed windows, the pane of glass cut out to the size of the frame. They had a wonderful sounding engine and transmission too.

As the GM fishbowls got older, the air conditioning system began to fail on a regular basis and the sealed windows were replaced with opening ones.

Wonderful, wonderful.

I was never fortunate to see, ride, or hear a TwinCoach transit bus.
How did Chicago's ride and sound?

That was my initial thought when I rode them when they were new based on the failure rate of a/c on NYTA fishbowls.

I rode a few Twins when I rode the sealed window fishbowls in Chicago many moons ago. I guess they were running out their last miles then. The few I rode couldn't get out of their own way.

I thought that the twins were very quiet considering that the engine was a modified gas engine running on propane.
