Posted by insidetransitcom on Fri Jan 16 20:49:25 2009, in response to 12 PHOTOS ##### Nova Bus LFS articulated NYCT 0054 in-service on M15, posted by Terrapin Station on Fri Jan 16 09:32:53 2009. it's like they want so bad to have a "futuristic" looking bus but they end up with a butt ugly bus. same with those bendy buses i think in phoenix.1. why not so simple bench seats instead of these molded seats 2. the standing area looks very narrow - meaning pushing people over to move around 3. is the 3rd door necessary? whenever i am on these buses (m14, 23, etc) getting off seems to be much easier than getting on 4. these buses should have dual entry in the front - sometimes i sit there looking at how long it takes for the pax to board and wonder they they dont add a second metrocard scanner - no change, just a scanner. 5. i guess they have given up on selling ads on this bus good photos tho! |

Why would all the seats between the middle door and the rear door be on a platform? Shouldn't they be floor level like the O7s? I understand the rear portion being raised and that the whole section back there is level but I could forsee people getting hurt possibly when having to step up to get to that seat and how small that step is. |

Some ZF selectors in the past only had those three buttons, and no kick-down facility, although the R-N-D-3-2-1 job and a kick-down on the accelerator is more common. I assume it is to prevent less considerate drivers from revving the life out of the engine if they were so inclined. |
