My system won't work fully for him- he may just have to deal with some dirty looks from station agents. I don't know in what initial denominations his employer offers the cards.Luckily, my employer uses the debit-card TransitCheck system, so I can go through the aritmetic I specified. So can anyone who buys a Metrocard with cash and/or a personal credit card. Also, (and Hank, please feel free to correct me here!) Hank indicated he does refill some cards. Transit Check is only $115/month, which won't cover a full month of express bus commuting, so I magine that's when he's refilling cards. My job sends me on the road (out of town) often enough that Transit Check has fully covered my express bus commuting every month for 2 years. |
