What is LACMTA's fare going up to considering that most of the TAs in Southern California have raised fares or are going to raise fares?

At least they are not blaming fuel now like the other transit agencies are. However, from what I have heard, 67% of transit agencies in the United States have raised fares in the last year or are proposing a fare increase due to fuel costs. I would believe that even if fuel costs have gone down funding has also decreased.

LACMTA raised fares over a year ago and incorporated a series of hikes spread out over several years. I heard that because the Measure R sales tax passed that they would postpone next years fare hike for 1 year. That's a good idea since it would coincide with more rail lines opening so even though you're paying more, you're getting something more for it.
