Posted by (3) Livonia Ave. Local on Tue Aug 26 18:23:25 2008 Is crowded beyond rational belief. For the first time, I had standees on an MCI, and the preceding QM11 left on time (I missed it). Anyway, pictures time. I think it's time for some new signs and guide-a-rides. The Q60 took 15 minutes to come.     My bus:    While on the Bus:     This was the glass above my seat:   Oh, wait I see a Metrocard Bus:  That's better, City Hall:   Yep, all seats were filled, and 3 people had to stand. Amazing, never happened on an express bus for me (though I've seen some on the X1, and the flood last year, EVERY express bus had standees). Hope you enjoyed, that's my last busfanning trip for the summer. |

Good pics.The QM11 gets SRO when 1 bus does not show up on time in the morning. The morning QM11 ridership has went up pretty high since the takeover. The afternoon is not too bad except the 5 PM hour buses are starting to show some growth in ridership. |

I see. It's funny, because the bus became SRO at the last stop in Queens, and the most people got off at the first stop in Manhattan, John/Water Sts. Looking at the schedule again, they slow down on headways after 8 AM. They might want to change that a bit. |
