makes less stops than express, supposed to be much faster, like W43 (Super Express) is much quicker than W41 (Express)

This isn't unusual with the 76. But the 12 really got owned...partially I would imagine because of the 79 Airlink. The 6, I have no idea.

The 12 got cut because of SUNY Purchase and Manhattanville College (illegally) have their own shuttle buses = less ridership on the 12. Note all of the cut 12 trips didn't go any further than SUNY Purchase. All other 12 trips were kept.

For now Sunday service remains

That sucks when it comes to the 76, the 76 is my favorite Bee-Line route and does get riders on Sundays. I kinda like the new 12 as I always thought that the SUNY Purchase trips were stupid and should be extended to the airport. The 6 is losing its Sunday service north of White Plains, but I guess that it doesn't get enough ridership.

The Airlink is a waste of a route IMO and should just be replaced by extended 12 trips. Why have two lower ridership routes compete against each other?

76 Sunday service is Summer only because of Playland

Airlink (Route 79) is the ONLY service to the Airport on Sundays. Airlink has cushioned seats and some trips do have ridership. 79 also stops in front of the Metro North station, and actually has room for luggage. 12 serves other areas other than the airport and takes much longer than the 79.

Alright thanks for the info, I guess that there isn't really any demand for Sunday 6 service, especially since it parallels the Harlem line to an extent.

76 Sunday service is Summer only because of Playland

I guess I have no more complaints as most routes like the 76 in the tri-state area don't even run besides the rush hours.

Now, the only question I have is: Which trips are being cut? A while back, service to White Plains used to end a lot earlier than it does (on the 6).

Thanks, I see the trend now is to cut non-seasonal service to the bone. At a time hen gas prices are high and public transportation agencies are booming, WCDOT is making some foolish moves.

However, Bee Line is unable to compete against privately operated school shuttle buses (along the 12) funded by student fees...and there are very few customers along Purchase Street who would be affected.

The surprise is that the 12 didn't lose all Sunday service. IMO, the 12 to Purchase on Sundays should be run as the 13 between White Plains and Port Chester instead.

The one thing I wonder now is if the final #5 trip from White Plains City Center would now start at 333 Westchester Avenue instead (one of the eliminated #12 trips serves 333 Westchester Avenue at 9:55 PM).

Also, as for King Street service...that area is primarily business parks, and most are empty by the time the final 12 from Jefferson Valley reaches them.
