Posted by busway flyer on Thu Jul 24 09:01:47 2008 JTA aka Jacksonville Transit Authority in Jacksonville, Florida. Earlier this year purchased 4 (2009-2012) Baby Gillig-Advantage Trolleys. They are used on two separate routes.The Riverside Trolley on midday weekdays and the Beaches Trolley on weekends. I thought I would share these with all.     Hope you enjoyed them. Charlie - BFTA |

PLEASE DO NOT POST "TROLLEY" PICS!!!EEEch, these are without a doubt the most insulting vehicles to be operated for mass transit....and they make for an extremely hard ride. New Orleans was using these exclusively on a line through the French Quarter (pre-Katrina) due to light loads and clearance issues. However, an existing real bus ran 1 block away and carried much better. I rode this numerous times and I was the only passenger. |
