MD-T in Miami-Florida reportely will start placing new fareboxes which will replace the unrealiable Cubic Western fareboxes. It should have obviously to management and all involved that Cubic Western is a failure from the begining to the end of its era. Thank GOD these machines will be history soon.

The new fareboxes, have been extremely reliable to neighbor transit agencies such as Broward County Transit and Palm Tran as well as much other properties I have seen them on. These new fareboxes should have endless capabilities such as a card reader, which will inturn constitute to possible weekly, daily and read the existing monthly Metropasses.

My most hope is that MD-T begins daily pass program just like BCt and Palm, other properties. A flat fleet of $3.00 or $3.50 would help, then everyone could use such transfer all day, thus increasing ridership.

Comments welcome.
