Internally, from a passenger's perspective anyway, there are minimal differences between the diesels and the hybrids. One annoying minor differece is the rear exit door where the hybrids open out nicely but the diesels swing in / slide in (like pocket doors) very often catching a passenger off guard.Roosevelt island residents like many bus riders are bad about moving to the rear and with a raised rear seating section it is only worse. I like sitting in the rear section of the diesels as they have e nice big rear window. I like the below video as it catches a hybrid driving behind this diesel: |
