The average hybrid city bus gets about 4.5 to 5 mpg. The most efficient hybrids I am aware of are the D4000 hybrids at NJ Transit, which I have been told approach 10 mpg. (The hybrid RTSs there get about 5 to 5.5 mpg.) |
