Long Island Bus is an operation of Nassau County contracted to the MTA. A full takeover of service would require the MTA to purchase all of the buses from Nassau County. This will make an interesting operation, as LIB buses have Talking Bus and MTAB buses do not. Because of this one issue, don't expect to see much fleet mixing. |
