Looking at the front of Bus #100, as classic a NYC Transit bus as there is, I have to admit to being a bit saddened at the destination sign which is displayed. Is there nowhere in the TA's store rooms (or in anyone's collection) an older model black and white cloth sign which could have been used, really making the bus a bit more authentic.Don't get me wrong, is is wonderful that the bus is preserved, but it just does not look right with the blue and red sign, especially with a typeface which was probably only used on Blitz re-builds. |
