Kings County Lighting CompanyJust a guess. Con Edison, in its current monopoly form, was created around 1942. Before that there were separate generating companies throughout NYC. Each served specific areas. I had a junior engineering summer job at Con Ed in 1961. It was a fairly new company back then. Kings County Lighting could have been one of the companies that was absorbed into Con Ed. |
