Today an "inefficient" transportation system is cars (when you can make a direct one seat trip to where you want when you want), tomorrow it is express buses, or commuter rail. The urbanists all know public transit has its limits and that is why 15 minute cities is a thing with them. They know they can't deliver and people in a capitalist society want choices and want free movement. |
