I think the Europeans have this one right broadly speaking. I have yet to hear a logical explanation for why bus stops in the US have to be so close together when European bus stops are further apart, there isn't necessarily legislation mandating accessibility comparable to the ADA, yet people of all ages seem to be able to get around more easily and more reliably. |
