Re: W.B.'s Bus Almanac for December 6th

Dec. 6, 1990
Thursday afternoon traffic on Flatbush Ave was extremely slow. As I got off the B9 on Ave L to catch the Q35 an RTS was there waiting. Luckily I saw I believe 357 heading north bound so I decided to let the RTS go and wait for the new look. As I was waiting for the ‘79 Canadian new look to show up I heard the familiar sound of an even older bus’s front door open up behind me. It was 906-1, a borrowed Jamaica Bus. 1970 model. Hopped on board as fast as I could and enjoyed the very slow traffic listening to that engine roar. Eventually we got up to speed near Kings Plaza and I enjoyed a nice ride home from there.
The next day I caught ex Triboro 916, the oldest one GBL was running at the time, from 1964 home. That was another treat.
