The purpose of this redesign is to make trips easier, not more difficult.It becomes insanely easy, and probably super-reliable, for anyone on Sutphin Blvd or off the Woodhaven SBS trying to get to Brookdale Hospital or nearby points in Brooklyn. But I too think the proposed QT5 is silly. At the very least it should start deeper in Downtown Jamaica (Parsons or further east) and should definitely make more stops. It would be ideal for the "super-express" between Jamaica and Eastern Brooklyn (if there has to be one) to use a more major corridor like Atlantic Ave. Problem of course is that Atlantic doesn't (conveniently) meet the Woodhaven SBS. |
