An innocent overlook on my part, RIP!The biggest hurdle is Atlantic Avenue, very few streets in the area transverse Atlantic Avenue for some reason, although I'm pretty sure the MTA has the pull to create a couple of new intersections through it for a bus route if they really wanted to. The lack of two-way streets that cross Atlantic Avenue between Pennsylvania Avenue and Logan Street would make this route a lot more meandering than I would like. My route would look something like this though: From New Lots: Ashford, Sutter, Berriman, Atlantic, Essex, Fulton, Logan, Jamaica, Highland, Vermont From Highland Park: Vermont, Highland, Jamaica, Norwood, Fulton, Arlington, Highland, Atlantic, Montauk, Liberty, Shepherd, Sutter, Cleveland, New Lots, Ashford The area around Ashford Street and Fulton Street also seems to have higher job density and would ideally have some sort of north-south bus coverage through it as well, but for this route to serve that area, it would have to meander through the neighborhood even more, so I passed on that idea for now. |
