But the number you are talking about are very few. Even if there are 100 of such stops among 10,000 stops, that is a very small percentage. Some of those can certainly be removed without impact. In fact when I became Director of Bus Planning, one of the first things I did was to remove a bus stop that was about 200 feet from another one. I knew that it existed purely by historical accident and wasn't necessary.Those stops are no reason to remove half the bus stops in a borough. |
