OK, that sounds impossibly low. However, it has a specific energy of 45.6 MJ/kg, while liquid H2 has a specific energy of 120 MJ/kg. So H2 fuel needs almost 5 times the volume but only a bit more than a third of the weight. It strikes me that you could build a fuselage that can carry all that volume efficiently. |
